We’re nearly at the end of the year but that doesn’t mean you can take your foot off the gas now. For most businesses, this is their busiest time of the year, particularly with the c-word at the end of December (don’t worry, we won’t start talking about being merry just yet!). Therefore, it’s essential to plan and stay on top of your website so you can outperform your competitors at this busy time of year. Here are three must-do updates this week and going forward!

Update Your Customers
Let your customers, both existing and potential, know that you’re still active and offering them the best services or products available. Let them know what’s new, what’s on a special offer, what they’ve got to be fast on and, most importantly, why they should part with their hard-earned cash. Ensure that your opening hours are up to date, particularly on Google, as this is where most customers will look for your business online. Write a blog or a send out a newsletter to keep them in-the-know with all things about your business. Regularly updating information on your website and keeping in touch with customers is a great way to boost your SEO and reputation.

Update Your Software
Ensuring that your devices, particularly those you use for work, are kept up to date helps keep your data safe and your day running smoothly. Software updates are rolled out for many reasons, but ongoing security is one of the main ones. Your business could be at a higher risk of being disrupted by hackers if your phones, tablets and computers are running older software. Your website’s servers, or where your website is hosted, also needs to be kept up to date. However, this is more difficult as needs to be done manually. At It’seeze, our servers are regularly updated, meaning you don’t have to worry about security breaches, and you can focus on running your business.

Update Your Calendar
When running a business, prioritising certain tasks over others means that the most important jobs are not ignored. However, this doesn’t mean that those other tasks can be forgotten about forever so plan out the rest of the year, to the day if you can, so you can start the new year with no backlogs. Online marketing should feature heavily in your regular tasks, whether it’s posting on social media, editing your website or publishing an advert. Set aside time each week to focus on building your online presence which will soon see you getting and staying ahead of your competition. We understand that this, alongside other aspects of running a business, can be quite tricky so we’re here to help. Look at everything we can take care of so you can keep on top of everything.
