The Fingal Local Enterprise Office launched the Trading Online Voucher Scheme for small businesses in the area to develop or enhance their ability to trade online. With the trend ever increasing towards online spending, it is estimated that only 23% of small Irish businesses are engaged in any meaningful way in eCommerce sales. It is now believed that, of the online purchases made in Ireland, up to 70% of these are carried out in overseas markets.
The National Digital Strategy aims to address this imbalance and to encourage Irish businesses to develop their online trading capabilities. To this end, the Department of Communications, Energy, & Natural Resources in partnership with the Local Enterprise Offices has targeted a further 2,000 small businesses to trade online.
The Voucher is a financial incentive to small businesses to develop or enhance their ability to trade online. Under the scheme, a qualifying business may apply for matched funding to a maximum of €2,500 or 50% of eligible expenditure (exc. VAT), whichever is the lesser.
Find out more information regarding the scheme and see if you are eligible for a grant towards your itseeze website by clicking here

Steve Taber is the Local Consultant for itseeze Dublin. “I know as well as anyone how tough the marketplace can be for start-up businesses, so I wanted to do something that I would enjoy as well as something that could benefit the local community - hence the launch of itseeze Websites Dublin.” says Steve.
Steve’s new business venture was founded as a result of the research he did with small businesses in the local area. “I was staggered to learn that most companies don’t have a website and of those that do, the majority are unhappy with the service, or experience ongoing problems with their site. itseeze Websites Dublin will enable small businesses to get a professionally designed website that’s easy to use and at an affordable price” says Steve.
