So, your stunning new website is up and running. It’s getting plenty of traffic and is ranking highly on search engines. Nice! Now it’s over to you. Thankfully, editing and updating any of our websites is so easy, your granny could do it! And if you struggle, you know we’re always at the other end of the phone, or email if you prefer.

We just don’t understand how some companies have fantastic customer service leading up to the sale but are terrible afterwards. Who hasn’t been on the receiving end of horrific post-sale support and left searching the internet for answers!? Since its launch in 2008, excellent customer service and ongoing support has always been at the forefront of it’seeze’s business model and continues to be today. We understand that each individual needs different levels of help along the way and are always happy to assist. With that in mind, here are some handy tips on how to manage your website.

Keep it Fresh
Keeping your website content updated regularly means your website will rank higher on search engines and with more than ¾ of clicks going to the top three results on Google (Backlinko), the higher you rank, the more traffic you’ll get and the more business opportunities there are for you. The best (and easiest!) way to do this, in our experience, is blogging. This means you won’t have to undergo huge formatting changes to update your website, you just upload some engaging, relevant content that shows visitors and search engines that your website and business is still active.

Keep it Light
There is a time and place for going into every fine detail about your business and your home page isn’t it. Keep information short, sweet and to the point. Let the images do most of the talking. When going into more detail about your business, try not to use a load of jargon. We could sit here and write about meta data, CSS and subdomains but that’s probably not going to excite anyone else!

Keep it Growing
Each month or quarter, check in on the data gathered through analytics (get in touch with us if you don’t know how!). This will break down the traffic to your website into the user’s location, how they accessed your website, how long they were on your website, and much more. It gives you a real insight into the types of people looking at your website and what works for them and what doesn’t. Simply do more of what works and less of what doesn’t and you should see your traffic increase.

Please don’t forget that help is never far away should you need it. But you’ve got this. We believe in you!
